Avira disables my network adapter

I just bought a new ASUS laptop (Windows 7). When I install Avira my wireless adapter just stops working. When I look it up in device manager I see the message "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this decice. (Code 31)".

I've used system restore a few times and the same thing happens each time I install Avira. Any help would really be appreciated!
