HASPDOS.SYS - problem

Hi I am a first time user so please excuse any lack of etiquette.
I have removed some unused programms to free up space and am trying to run auto tuning through command. I keep getting the message about a HASPDOS.SYSprogram too big.
Initially I had a Hardlock problem but deleted the files i could identify - can anyone help please.
