Hi all ,
I'm hoping that this will be a very easy question for someone who knows.
I'm seeing a client who has Windows 7 and gets an annoying Realtek pop-up on startup (the familiar Realtek blue box with the 'crab' symbol.)
I only have a short amount of time with them so haven't been able to find out what this pop-up does, it's version, anything. But, it is definitely annoying and I would like to stop it appearing at startup.
In case this helps, the tabs are labelled: Sound effect - Mixer - Audio 10 - Microphone - 3D Audio Demo. 'Karaoke' is to the right.
I've looked in msconfig and the following 'Realteks' are listed in Startup:
Realtek HD Audio Sound Effect Manager
Realtek A297 Audio - Event Monitor
Realtek HD Sound Manager
Can I uncheck them all safely? Or, can anyone tell me which one to uncheck?
Many thanks for any help given. :thanx:
