Hello everyone. I have been having this particular issue for a long time and while I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting on my own I have yet to figure out the cause of the issue.
In a nutshell, my PC running Windows 7 64 bit will not go into sleep mode automatically. I have the settings configured to auto sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity, but the machine will stay on indefinitely unless I manually put it in sleep mode.
Previously, I ran a powercfg command and saw that the print spooler was what kept the pc awake. I uninstalled the printer driver and everything seemed all right for a short time. Within a few days the same problem began to occur again. I ran the powercfg command again and this time it told me it was the audio driver which was bizarre because I hadn't changed the driver. I updated the driver, but the same issue continued.
I contacted the manufacturer - the card is a HT Omega Claro + - and was informed that some application is causing the issue by engaging the driver. I attempted disabling some applications but to no avail - the behavior continued.
This is where I left off with it. Can anyone offer some insight? Has anyone experienced similar issues? Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance for your time.
