I'm having an issue recently that affects me when I play fairly demanding games, such as Planetside 2, Borderlands 2 or even Sonic Generations. I have monitored the temperature of my GPU and CPU both through OCCT, and both never rise higher than 45°C so I am very doubtful that it is a temperature problem.
The PC itself is mostly brand new; the specs will be posted at the bottom of this post. The PSU, a CiT 750UB is the only exception to this, along with two HDDs, but even then the PSU is only a year old and it has powered GPUs that have demanded a higher voltage than my current one, for that entire time. I'm not ruling out that it's a PSU problem, but I imagine the problems would be more prominent or severe if it were.
The symptoms; I can play any game I want on this computer for at least 15 minutes without any hint of problem whatsoever. From then on though, it's anyone's guess when the inevitable happens; the power from the computer seems to completely cut off without prompt or warning whatsoever. I can also immediately turn the PC back on without unplugging/replugging the power cable in, or flipping the switch.

No other irregularities seem to be posted in the event viewer around or before these times. I suspected at first it could be something to do with a program called NetBT due to errors occurring just prior to shutdowns, but have since dropped those chances as errors regarding that program have not occurred the previous couple of times my PC has shut down.
Note that this does not happen with every game I play, only ones that seem to demand higher performance.
I attempted to follow a 'chkdsk at startup' suggestion to another user on another board, but every time I got the chkdsk prompt on boot, it would freeze at the 'Press key within 1 second(s)' and proceed no further until I restarted the computer. of course this once again led to the chkdsk boot prompt screen, though pressing keys to attempt to cancel would also fail to have any affect at all most of the time, resulting in multiple restarts. I have installed the recommended Microsoft hotfix (found here) to prevent this error and yet, it still happens. This also leads me to believe my HDD could be the problem, but again I am not sure as I am unable to perform chkdsk.
So I need help progressing from here, honestly. I've trawled online for the longest time looking for a solution only to find posts stopping just short of what seems like a solution, and suggestions prior to this have not worked for me. I'm doubling over and requesting help regarding this in the hopes that other people with this problem will also find this thread, and I will make sure to see this through to a solution, if you can help me.
Thanks,
Jay.
EDIT: I also have attempted to reseat the RAM and GPU, each individually. The PC seems to run fine on any of the 4GB stick of RAM alone, each time I started it up.
