Ok, I built a rig this summer and everything seemed fine, however four months later I have been having trouble with the DVD burner. Windows has continues to believe that I always have a CD in the disc tray. Even when no cd is in the tray window will insist that one is. When I open this fake cd to view its content I find several audio tracks labeled "Track 00, Track 01..." I can even try to open these files and when I do iTunes (my default audio player) will try to play them, however it will always say that the file is "not available"
I have determined that this is an opperating system error, and not a hardware issue, because I bought a new DVD burner and installed new drivers and the problem still persists. I thought that this problem might have occurred because of some virtual drive software I had installed, so I uninstalled it and I'm still having this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
