I have a Acer laptop model: ASPIRE V5-471-6489
Now my problem all began when I was playing a video game on my laptop and all of the sudden the screen froze, so I did a hard reset on it and it took quite a bit longer to load then usual. Then when it finally got to the loading screen I entered my password and it froze for about 3 minutes, and then windows opened but didn't load properly, then froze and I had to reset again. I got it to boot successfully in safe mode, and safe mode with networking sometimes loads. I've run disk repair, tried to restore to a previous restore point, tried memory repair and to no avail. Half the time I have to reboot the computer because it freezes before I can even get into safe mode. Can someone please help me with some steps to fix this, if it's possible, or do you figure this is a hardware problem? I am running Win7 64bit SP1. Any and all help is appreciated and I will be checking back frequently for solutions.

Some more info, I looked at some help online and it suggested to open command prompt and run sfc /scannow - I did so in safe mode with networing and it got to 13% and then I got an error message Windows Resourse Protection could not perform the requested operation.
