i have a an issue which is preventing my HP Pavillion dv6 notebook from starting normally.
what happens is the laptop will load past the initial windows loading screen (black with the glowing windows sign) but then will go no further. there is a black screen and you can move the mouse but that is all.
when booting into safe mode the notebook will start and allow you to get in fine.
because it works in safe mode i have tried disabling all startup items and disabling all services except the ones that are started whilst in safe mode, but once i restart im still getting the same issue. black screen with mouse pointer.
can anyone offer any advise on this please?
