I have a 6 year old Acer laptop running XP. The screen crapped out but hd is fine. I am accessing it thru Logmein for the moment.
I have LOTS of legacy apps that will not run under W7 but I know there's no way to buy a moden laptop with XP on it. I MUST have these apps so I think VPC is my only alternative?
So, I need to know the best way to transfer all my XP apps to a VPC in W7 and OPTIMIZE the VPC as I won't be using the W7 part of the OS. (I already have a W7 box).
I have multiple image backups of the drive as well as multiple file backups
I want to set the VPC up wth as much RAM as possible... take advantage of the newer machine.
Any advice on the proper approach to getting this done will be greatly appreciated!
