i recently did an LCD screen replacement. when i powered up the laptop it came on normally only the trackpad was not working on log in screen but works everywhere else i looked into how i could solve this and i needed admin rights. so i got the password and when i logged into the admin account only for the trackpad to not work at all. after a few minutes the desktop locked up and was non responsive. I restarted and got the message
Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected
this is now appearing after every restart. I have checked the boot order and i have ran start up repair and it allows me to start up in safe mode but once i try to load normally I get that error again
does that sound familiar to anyone
PS the laptop was dropped that is why the screen needed replaced as a precaution I have checked the hard drive for errors are there was none and the laptop is recognising it in the bios
seems odd to load windows until it crashes and then decide not to
its is a Dell Inspiron m5030
