Any help would be greatly appreciated i run win 7 x64 on a 512 gb ssd w/8gb ram so i do not use a pagefile which has been no problem until recently creating a pagefile on an external hdd to cover overhead during heavy vm usage (win server 2003 r2 + a client xp) all for work so every time i restart with the external in or out win 7 creates 8gb "Temp pagefilefile" on C:\ i do not want to use pagefile on my ssd and i do not need it except lately with all the vm usage and i am against writing 8gb to my ssd every restart any way to disable this recreation of "Temp Pagefile" i have toggled registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\TempPageFile with 0 and 1 to no avail and i am unaware of any other settings or other options for that key or others Just need the pagefile on the external when i want it and nothing else i guess its probably too much to ask --thanks in advance :banghead:
