won't allow password on waking computer

Won’t allow for password on waking.

control panel>power options> left side require a password on wakeup > greyed out and won’t let me change from don’t require a password to require a password.

Also tried:
Power Options Advanced Plan Settings>Change settings that are currently unavailable>Require a password on wakeup> greyed out No won't allow change to yes

How can I get my computer to accept the require password option?
