Hi there,
how long does a scndsk /r take? I read a thread on this forum that suggested that if you have a "The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000006). Click OK to close this application." problem, than it is a very good idea to do a scndsk /r.
I am in the process for 14 hours and I am stuck in step 4: "20 percent complete. (100903 of 628720 files processed)" It has been in this stage since 6:30am at least. Also I can see that many clusters have been already replaced. I have a 120gb hard drive and 100gigs are full. I read on Microsoft website that the process can take "days".
1.How much time should I calculate?
2.How can I know if the scndsk freezes?
Currently it sounds like the function is doing its work.
thanks
