Acer Aspire w/ Vista home prem. When it does boot to the welcome screen it is froze up or at least appears to be. The mouse cursor is froze in one spot for days. A couple weeks ago it would stop working and I'd get a message about display something. Don't quite remember I'd close it out and restart the laptop and we were fine until the next time it would do the same. Now for the last 4 or 5 days when I can get it to boot at all I have the welcome screen with mouse cursor frozen in same spot. It's in the same spot everytime it boots up. I think the display drivers or video controller needs updated or ??? But I cannot get anywhere at all in the os. I've tried to boot in safe mode but I cannot get it to so anything. The only disc I got when I purchased the laptop is a factory upgrade disc for windows os.
