I have windows 7 and two days ago it suddenly froze so I waited a while and nothing happened so I turned it off by holding power button. Ever since then, when I turn it on a windows message pops up saying "Windows System Recovery" and giving me an option to either Launch Windows Repair or Start Windows Normally. No matter what I choose it does the same thing where it shows a weird screen with a loading bar that says "Loading Windows Files" then goes to a blank screen where I can see my mouse cursor for a little while then pulls up a screen with a command prompt but then closes immediately and goes to a huge screen that says "ERROR" in huge red letters. No code or anything. The people at the Tech Center at my school said it was a virus but the people at Asus said it might be hardware. What do you guys think?
Also, I tried going into the BIOS and selecting to Safety Mode with Command Prompt but does the same thing as everything else.
Does anybody have thoughts about what's wrong, who's right and what I should do? I'm contemplating booting windows 7 from a disc but if its a hardware problem, that would seem pointless. Any responses would be MUCH appreciated because I need it fixed for school as soon as possible.
