My ASUS G73SW that I recently bought from a friend will shut off in an instant at time I don't want it to. It started when I received it from him, and he mentioned the GPU crashing at times, but only getting errors like "GPU is not compatible" and games would close. However, this has not happened since I received it 4 days ago.
My laptop is currently under my desk, on a laptop cooler (on top of a mat), plugged into a surge protector with a monitor and a desk fan.
I don't think it's a heating issue, as it's barely even warm when it has happened.
- It has turned off while playing games, watching various videos, and while installing a game.
I read that maybe some sort of electricity fluctuation would have something to do with it, but is there any way I could find this out? Also, the battery is always inside of the laptop, and I have the laptop plugged into power most of the time. Thank you!
I recently found out that when my computer shuts off, my internet goes down as well. I was in a Skype call on my other laptop while playing on my shutting-off laptop and the internet stopped working. This has happened in the past once, but I have no clue as to what the cause could be. It's only this computer that shuts off though.
My ISP is WOW!
