Hello :wavey:
My Mom has a HP WIN 7 home Premium PC A few days ago should could not open any programs
When she does an error pops up saying
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the contact your technical support or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.
I ran CHKDSK from safe mode command prompt it did not fix the problem
I read online that uninstalling Windows Live and the Microsoft Visual C++ programs will fix this but I was only able to uninstall about 5 of the 10 Microsoft Visual C++ programs
when I try to Uninstall The others I get a
Error 1721 There is a Problem with Windows installer
I tried to run programs and antivirus from USB drive but I get the same error
The Internet works fine so I tried to update Windows but it will not update.
:banghead:
Thanks in advance
