Error code 11b1

Every time I try to play a wmv file with windows player I get an error code 11bi.
I am using windows7 and can play the file with windows mediacenter,and vlc media player.
I did some google searches and found the 11b1 code,but none of the recommendations has solve my problem.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
