Greetings!
I'm having some bizzarre issues with my current setup and high-definition video playback.
Basically, whenever I watch any HD content, be it locally or through web services such as Youtube or Vimeo, there is a high chance my PC will turn itself off and immediately reboot.
The probability of this phenomenon occurring seems to be increased if I use my cursor to scroll manually through the video, but it actually doesn't affect the appearance of the problem too much: either way, sooner or later it's bound to reboot.
What makes me especially clueless right now is that Windows is not displaying any further notice concerning this error, neither when it suddenly shuts down, nor when it reboots. No warning message of any kind.
I have checked the Windows Event Viewer and these occurrences are being classified as 'Event 41', with a whole barrage of 0x0000 in the description.
What is happening here? I hope somebody can help me shed some light on this weird and unexpected anomaly.
My setup:
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 x64
Motherboard: ASUS P5QC
CPU: Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz(not overclocked)
GPU: GeForce 9800GTX
8GB of RAM (Kingston 1333)
Asus Xonar Essence ST (Audio Card)
Samsung SSD 840 Pro 128 GB
Western Digital Green 3TB
Western Digital Black 1TB
Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing some insightful answers on this situation.
