Screen all tiled up during installation of Windows 7

I am trying to install Windows 7 on an Acer T180 for my mom. I was going to leave Windows XP on one partition and put 7 on another. Well I started a boot install and told it to install to the primary partition. I keep getting to 78% of the "expanding Windows Files" point and then my screen gets all tiled up and I can't see anything so I have to reset the computer. I thought maybe it was something to do with my partitions, maybe some sort of Partition problem so I just decided to wipe everything and do a fresh install. Well now it is not even getting to the 78% of the "expanding Windows Files" point. It is giving me the same tiled screen during installation. So now I am stuck with a computer that has nothing on it. I will post a picture of the screen. I have gotten this same screen about 5 times now. I am going to try to leave it until morning. Maybe by some miracle, something will come up if it finishes installing Windows 7. Anyone have any ideas on this at all? It did the same thing both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7. I installed 7 on my laptop and had no problems. I have never seen anything like this before. It almost seems like a driver issue. I was pretty sure everything but the network adapter passed the test when I ran the compatibility checker. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Lisa
