I have a WD, 1,5 TB, External Drive with 2 Primary & 1 Logical partition. I was traveling and used it on my Netbook... same System. Last thing I did was watched a video file. Got back home and connected it to my Laptop that I hibernated after using that same video folder. I went back to it, watched a video, tried to move the file to my "seen" folder and got an error message... can't remember exactly what... Repeated... unsuccessfully, orderly disconnected the USB drive. Then reconnected and got the error message, "LOCATION IS NOT AVAILABLE. I:/ IS NOT ACCESSIBLE. ACCESS IS DENIED." "Should it be formatted?"
The other 2 Partitions are normal. Paragon HD Manager sees no problem... all 3 partitions are the same. Raise Data Recovery can slowly transfer the data, but it is almost 500GB.
Can't get to Security to check permissions. Win Disk Manager shows it as "RAW" and not NTFS.
I tried re-booting and reconnecting the Ext. HD. No change.
Anyone know the solution?
Thanks
