I'm trying to upgrade my Windows from 32-bit to 64-bit to take advantage of my 8 gb of RAM.
I'm doing this with ISO on a DVD. I recently bought a DVD drive to do this, plugged it into my internal SATA Port.
My DVD drive is recognised, I can see the DVDs inside it when I'm on my computer, however I come across issues when I try to boot from DVD.
It's definitely nothing to do with my Harddrive, I've narrowed it completely down to my new DVD Drive. I'm not sure if it's to do with the BIOS settings, it's on AHCI (?) right now.
I've tried booting multiple disks, so it's not the disks problem.
The only USB device I have plugged in is my mouse, so I doubt this is causing any disturbances.

So any ideas why I cannot boot from my DVD drive, even though it's completely recognized by my computer in the BIOS and in My Computer? It's driving me crazy.

Thanks.
