Hello,
Basic faqs:
Lenovo SL510
Windows 7 service pack 1
Comcast Internet Provider
Problem: First, you should know that my internet connection used to be fine with the same Wireless Comcast router I currently have. Then, my computer started to fail at automatically connecting (I would watch the little blue circle turn into an X during startup). So I would have to bring up the internet menu and click on my internet name, then click connect. After waiting about 20 seconds it would say, "Connection is taking longer than usual" followed by an pop up menu that says I can't connect to the internet. There's no error message and windows was not able to identify the problem. However, after the message pops up that says, "unable to connect to internet" I COULD connect to the internet, but every now and then I would take a long time to load a webpage.
Now, for whatever reason I don't get the error message that says, "unable to connect to internet" and the internet doesn't cut out randomly during use. However, I still can't get my internet to connect automatically, and it still takes about 20 seconds to connect. I tried right-clicking properties and select the "connect automatically" button but it was already selected. Actually I found out that every internet connection available was selected to connect automatically. I tried to uncheck each of these internet connections but as soon as I uncheck the box and select another internet connection to uncheck the box is magically checked again.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
