OS: Windows Vista Home Premium w/ latest Service Pack
Recently I have been attempt to play music on my Xbox 360 over my network. However, my Xbox can not connect to my PC.
After searching around online, I saw a post somewhere stating to make sure my Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service was started. After attempting to start the service, I received an error stating "The Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
Also, my Xbox is no longer appearing in my PC's network screen as it used to in the past. I am not sure if those are directly linked but I can see my brother's PC on it still so I am not sure if that is relevant.
Microsoft Windows Media - Web Help
The link above this is the link I used as a guide to attempt to enable the service. If needed, I can post my specs of the PC but I am not at my PC at the moment. I don't believe it is needed though. I may be wrong.
