[SOLVED] Audio to TV thru hdmi cable

Hello all,I am trying to get audio to my TV from my laptop.I hook up my laptop to my TV with a hdmi cable,and only get a picture,no sound.I would like to listen to music I have on my laptop thru my TV,and be able to watch dvds without having to listen to the quiet-crappy speakers on my laptop.Do I need a different cable?Do I need to re-configuire?

I live in extremely remote Alaska,so a new cable is at least 10-14 days away.

I am using windows media player.Windows 7.
