Hello again Tech Support Forums.
So for a while now I have noticed that when I want to play my DVDs of my favorite show Being Human it would take anywhere from a few to several times to get the program to play it.
For a long while I blamed the program I use called Windows Media Center (:facepalm:), but then a few weeks ago I tried to play 'The Lion King' and about ten tries later it still would not read.
Today same thing with 'Red Riding Hood'. I even tried other programs this time, I have two others; Windows Media Player and Acer Arcade Deluxe and they all tell me I need to insert a DVD despite that there IS one in.
Being Human seems to be the only Discs it will read at all.
I tried going into 'my computer' and checking the drive for the movie but it doesn't show up proving to me that the computer itself is not reading my DVDs.
Do I need to get my DVD drive looked at or replaced or is it something else?
Additional info: It's an Acer laptop, and it's three years old heading towards 4.
