[SOLVED] No network access on fresh Vista install

Hi.

The computer in question is an HP 2000 laptop. I've searched the outside of the case for more information, maybe a more complete model number, but there's nothing more anywhere to be seen.

Wireless adapter:Broadcom 4313
Wired adapter: Realtek 8101E

Neither of them are working. This computer dual-boots with Kubuntu Linux, and both network adapters work fine under that OS, so I'm fairly confident that the hardware is fine.

Both adapters are showing yellow triangles in the Control Panel > Device Manager. The Realtek wired adapter says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)." The Broadcom wireless adapter shows that the driver is not installed. I've downloaded and installed drivers for both devices from the HP site, but they're not working.

The laptop came with Windows 7, and ran for a while using XP. With both those versions, both network adapters worked fine. I'm not sure what to do next.

Any help would be much appreciated.
