Trying to troubleshoot an Asio driver issue. Using Pro Tools, my Playback Engine is set to Asio4All but I can't get audio out from Pro Tools, so I opened up the ASIO control panel. Lo and behold, the output on my E-MU audio interface is disabled with a big red X that apparently indicates it is unavailable. If I hover over it, I get a dialogue that says "PIN Status Unavailable -> In use by other application? -> 'MS GS Wavetable Synth' enabled?"
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It was working fine until recently but I have had this issue on and off. I've found solutions posted in other forums and in other threads on this forum but none of those solutions have worked in my case.
I have tried (following the suggestions in various forums):
- Reinstalling the Asio drivers
- Disabling the E-MU in Playback Devices (Control Panel -> Sound)
- Disabling everything but the E-MU in the windows Device Manager
- Changing the Windows Sound Scheme to None (Control Panel -> Sound -> Sounds tab)
- Changing the Asio control panel settings to "Always Resample 44.1kHz <-> 48kHz"
Nothing has worked. Any help greatly appreciated.
