[SOLVED] Getting control over system 32

Hey, as you can see I'm new to this forum, I'm only taking you fine people's time as a last resort because I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

So, I'm installing a certain program that requires the replacing of a .dll file within system32. So, in the Setup Wizard, when it is to replace that file a popup comes with access denied. My user is an Administrator by the way. So I tried to take ownership and grant total control to my user using the command prompt. It is listed as successful, but when I go to actually replace the file, I still get access denied. Ok, so I go to system32 folder properties, security, total control to my user. Guess what? Access denied.

Let me get this straight. I can't get control over system32 because I don't have control over system32. I have to get control over system32 before I get control over system32. Circular reasoning works because circular reasoning works.

I pay hundreds of dollars for Windows 7 and still don't own system32. So what, do I have to buy Windows 7 Controlled System32 Edition or what?

Where's the damned logic, uncle Bill?

Please don't tell me not to mess around system32, I know what I'm doing as I already installed this program on another computer and it worked fine.
