When I download update KB2922229 it fails to instal with an error code of 80070490. I have tried this repeatedly without success and would appreciate help with this problem.

Windows vista command line help
Hello i am working on a project were i need to get computer infromation from many users and am making a command line code to do this for me. However i am haveing some issues with my format. my code is as follows:

Stuttering Video Playback
When watching video on my computer, I experience audio and video "stuttering" every few minutes. This happens in both Netflix and VLC. Ideas? I'm not sure where to start, everyplace I have looked indicates that issues like this don't usually happen with both web based and stored video.

CorelDraw X6
I have a folder for clipart associated with CorelDraw X6. I cannot get thumbnails of the clipart to show so that I can choose a design. I have to open every single individual file to see what it contains. These are .cdr files. Is there a way I can get these to show properly?? Is there something set wrong in my computer - or do I have a registry problem?? I had a lot of trouble installing this program, which is actually in tandem with an embroidery program I use with my Bernina embroidery software. I took my computer to a friend's husband that is a computer/data expert (in the business) and he finally got my registry cleaned up and the program installed so I can use it. Before that, I was constantly getting errors and that segment of my embroidery program was un-usable. I have included a snippet of what the contents of my folder looks like.

I have windows 7 on core i5 laptop. my laptop is not detecting USB ( the memory device or the pen drive). when i go to the Devices and printers section the USB is categorised as unspecified. when i troubleshoot that icon it says that USB driver is not installed please advice what should i do

w7/64 keeps asking for password
I have just built a mew W7 PC using an Asus M5A07 LE R2.0 MOBO and an AMD FX 3.5G 6core CPU. Present ram is 4G but I hope to double that in a month or so.
All works fine except that when I leave the PC unattended for just a few minutes the screen reverts to the login with a password box. I punch it in and all is fine once again.
The PC does not shut down. Internet radio keeps running as does a sound recording program and I do not lose my place on a forum, the thing just want a password!
Most irritating, any ideas?

disk boot failure, insert disk and press enter
So i shut off my pc last night. I woke up and my computer freezes at ahci drive init... then. It says disk booot failure
I have 2 harddrives so i disconnected and connected them both 1 by 1. My slave drive works fine and i installed windows again. But my main harddrive is still stuck.
Why did this happen all of a sudden? My computer isnt detecting the hd at all and i have a ton if saved homework on it for finals.
One thing to note is, my main hd connects differently then my slave drive. Its connected to my sata 0 slot and a thin Connector about an inch and a half wide.

I would like to know on what wake on lan broadcast is
I would like to know on what Wake on Lan over internet is, compared to Wake on Lan regular locally. I already know on how to use wake on lan locally, but I am not so sure on how to use it through the internet. Like what port should I use, and what should the broadcast ip address be? Just let me know because I have Wake on Lan on my computers. So please explain that to me. So please get back to me as soon as possible. So thank you very much! :sad: :confused:

I have been looking for a laptop and a local dealer has offered me a used Lenova T-500 with 4GB ram, duo core, and windows7 for $250. Aside from the price, which seems about $50 too high (thinking the battery will need replacing), I am wondering about the OS. When I had XP Pro on my box there were dire warnings about sharing usage of the install disks and problems of support when changing the hardware configuration.
I asked the dealer if the install disks were supplied but was told no that I would need to create a rescue disk. My expertise is with Unix/Linux not Windows. Is it legal to sell the OS installed on-board this way or will I have a problem getting Microsoft support?
Are all Lenova T-500 machines 64 bit?
How can I tell if all memory slots are taken?
Can there be 4 GB and run Windows 7 as 32 bit machine?
I use ext4 for Linux/BSD can Windows 7 read from areas so formatted?
This machine has 3 USB ports but does it have an Ethernet port?

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with 2.0 G of RAM and a 32-bit operating system. I use Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2. My Drive C has 39.9 G, but right now, only 1.52 G is free. In contrast, my Drive D uses only 12 G of its 248 G. I do not know why Dell partitioned my PC's Drive C, which has the OS, to have such little space in comparison with Drive D.
I use Norton 360 almost daily to free up space on my Drive C. It used to get me back to 10% or more of free space. Now, I am lucky to get 5%.
I currently use mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, IE version 9, Norton 360, Skype, Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9, my Epson PX-435A printer, Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti router, and a modem.
Over the past few years, I have moved various programs from C to D to help in my battle for drive space. They include Office and Adobe. But lots of stuff keeps accumulating on C.
I am sure there is lots of stuff that I could delete from C without impacting how I use my PC. But what can I safely trash?

Rio S35S to Windows 7
Can someone please help me find a driver to download the music on my old Rio S35S MP3 player to put the songs on my Windows 7 PC?
I have the connector, but can not seem to find a way to download my songs (to transfer through I-tunes to my iPod).
Maybe I need to buy someone's used Rio (from Amazon, etc.) and "hope" it comes with a driver?
Or can you suggest how / where I could access a windows 98 or 2000 OS computer? Do computer cafes have older OS PCs?
(Clearly you can tell I am not so very computer savvy!).

What to expect when reinstalling an uprade edition of Vista SP 1 over SP2
Vista Ultimate 64 SP2 system.
Kaspersky upgrade caused major corruption....following their tech instructions....now Windows update no longer works. Can't fix because Net Framework is corrupted.
Tried all the Microsoft fixes....uninstalled Net Framework per instuctions, reinstalled. Verification tool says they are not working properly!!!
Can't do a repair because my original disk is an SP1.
It was recommended that I do a reinstall from the original disk.
But the original disk was an Uprade version & I did a clean install over 5 years ago.
What problems, if any, can I expect?
I'm assuming that my files will not be erased!!

Network problem after system restore
About 2 weeks ago I had a problem with my computer crashing because of over heating, but before I realized that was the problem I tried to boot in safe mode and run repairs and such. Once I opened the computer and fixed the fan I was able to boot normally, but I couldn't connect to the internet. I then did a system restore and was able to connect to the internet, but it has been extremely slow. I've had speed tests over 100 mb/s for download and over the last 2 weeks I've had under 1 mb/s. Its not a modem/router problem as both work fine on other machines. Any ideas on what I could have done wrong?

Graphic Lag?
As I mentioned, I picked up a new computer a few days ago.
Everything was going okay. Games ran smoothly. Played some Skyrim (favourite game of all time) on the 3rd, then again some more the morning of the 4th.
Then at some point in the 4th, I installed.. something. Now I have graphic lag. It's like skipping a frame or two every few seconds.
Here's a list of running tasks and programs installed.

Any suggestions on what could be causing it?
I don't know what MS Silverlight is.
Nor do I know anything about the Visual C++ things.
Help would be appreciated, as this is the same problem I had BEFORE I got a new computer. =/
I also installed/uninstalled Samsung Kies. Which still won't detect my phone. But that's a story for another day.
