Usually when I have a problem I am able to Google the problem and try different solutions seen that have worked for others. I have not had luck with my current issue on a separate computer.
Laptop
Windows Vista Home Premium
Acer Aspire 5720Z
Intel Pentium Dual CPU @ 1.46GHz 1.47GHz
1 GB RAM
32 bit OS
SP1 (can't seem to verify, but one update was sp2)
After installing updates I restart and upon startup it tries the final stage (3) of configuring updates but then fails and says reverting changes. It has 67 updates ready to be installed. The one time I somehow managed to install them the next update was SP2 where it froze during the install. After restarting it couldn't properly start where it had to restore to a previous time back to before the 67 updates were installed. Since then I haven't been able to get past them again without failing and reverting changes. I have tried deleting the downloaded updates and restarting which didn't help. Tried CheckSUR which didn't seem to work. The MS Fix It programs I tried all failed to start with runtime errors.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
PS- These forums look great.
