New twist on old password problem:

I believe I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

I rebooted my laptop this evening and was told upon entering my password (several dozen times) that my "User name or password is incorrect". I also had lost the option to log on to any other user's accounts.

Upon attempting to shut down I was told that the computer had another account running and shutting down would cause this account to lose any unsaved etc. etc. But I could not access said account.

Shutting down the computer actually results in a "Restart". It will not permanently power off.

After restarting I pressed F8 to access the boot menu to restart in safety mode. Upon restarting in safety mode I was asked to enter my password, but of course the password was incorrect. I tried using the boot menu's "Repair Your Computer" option for system recovery but again it required a password and again the password was incorrect. I had access to other accounts from here though. One was postgres (an account used by poker tracking software) which I expected to see and another entitled "UpdatusUser". I have no idea what this account is. Needless to say I can't access system restore on these accounts.

I can't access windows through any of the boot menu options.

Also, it still displays the hint for my password, but if I try to reset my password it tells me I need a USB device or a floppy to do so. My PC does not have a floppy drive and I currently do not have a USB though could potentially get one if this would actually help.

Also as of right now I am currently travelling through Asia (I am from Australia) and am unable to access any kind install disk.

Can anyone help me? It would be much appreciated as, while I travel, my laptop is pretty much everything to me.
