Unknown problem, computer shutting down (with shutdown process)

Hello everyone I have a problem that's been annoying me for the last 2 months. ( I didn't know where to post it so I put it here)

So, I bought a computer, and it has a problem.

It just shuts down. And then turns on again. (maybe it turns on immediately after that, maybe in a week, maybe in a day, seems pretty random)

And it's not a force shut down, it's the shutdown process, closing the programs, and you can even click 'cancel' and stop it. (still annoying nevertheless)

A week ago I changed the option of 'what the shutdown button does' = do nothing

A week later, the computer starts shutting down while I was playing some starcraft and closes the game, and I manage to click cancel, and the shutdown stopped.

When I now check 'what the shutdown button does', the option has reseted to 'shut down'.

1 month and a half ago, it would shut down and turn on continuously, with process, sometimes it would just shut down completely before the windows loads, as if the shutdown button was held for like a couple of seconds.

Why would a computer do this?
It's really puzzling for me, the explanation that I found is that the shutdown button gets shortcircuited or something, and gets activated every now and then, enabling the computer to shut down and turn back on.

Strange...

The operating system is Windows 7 Home edition
processor: AMD Phenom X4 955 3.20 Ghz
64 bit operating system
It has been overcloacked in the past, but it isn't now.
The CPU doesn't get overheated ( right now it's at 32 celsius, max 38 degrees celsius)
I don't know if the video card gets overheated but I don't think so because it would surely force shut down the computer right?

I look forward to hearing from you guys, maybe you have a solution, it would mean a lot to me

PS: I've sent the computer into service and they reseted BIOS :banghead: Not that I hadn't tried that already....
